New Agent Licensing: Your first step to a rewarding career in real estate begins with completing a course in the Principles of Real Estate. This course requires 60 classroom or correspondence hours. Click here for Virginia PreLicense Course Online Start-up: This is an Alpha College of Real Estate class for new sales associates and represents the first step to their career success. Through the 8-week planner, sales associates will become familiar with the company's products and services, understand office procedures, and gain proven prospecting skills. This course is available at Alpha College, and will also cover your first year's licensing education requirements, referred to as post licensure by the State of Va. Continuing Education: The State of Virginia requires 30 hours of post license education within the first year after the license issue date. Each renewal thereafter will require 16 hours of continuing education. There are many opportunities to meet these requirements, and some are offered at the office during our agent enhancement meetings. ACCELERATION: This 5-day facilitated course is for new and experienced agents who want to sharpen their skills in marketing, negotiating, prospecting and closing. Through interactive video and print material, sales associates will learn to present winning listing presentations, assess and understand sellers' and buyers' needs, implement personal marketing and business plans, create and maintain contact management and follow up systems and understand the added value of the Preferred Alliances program. Top Gun Academy: This 8-week course is designed for graduates of the ACCELERATION course or those who are experienced in real estate sales. Sales associates must submit an application and a recommendation from their broker as a prerequisite to attend. The class builds on the areas of prospecting, presentation and skill development. Graduates, on average, have improved their previous 12-month production by more than three fold in just eight weeks. International Collection: A three-tier series, the ERA International Collection course is tailored for the agent who specializes in the luxury market. Education on the major architectural styles, the use of upscale and global marketing techniques, and the unique features of the program are taught. Some of the benefits of the ERA International Collection Specialist certification include discretionary use of the crest and logo for personal marketing pieces, an International Collections' marketing portfolio, and your profile included on the International Collection web site. - e-Campus: e-Campus is where you can find all education resources that ERA has to offer. Learning with ERA can be done in three different formats.
- Live Classroom - Locations in the United States where we have the minimum requirement of attendees, instructors will travel to your location to teach a course in a live classroom environment. Courses that are offered in a live classroom are: AccelERAtion, Top Gun, The Relocation Experience, Relocation Management.
- Virtual Classroom - Choose from several nationally recognized courses, yet take the course from the comfort of your home or office while still having full interaction with your instructor and other attendees. All you need is an internet connection. Same course materials and designations. Traditional 2-day courses are offered in 7-90 minute sessions over a 10 day period of time, so you are never out of your business for more than 90 minutes.
- Self-Paced Learning - Courses available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Feel free to take a course from Real Estate sales to Microsoft Office anytime of the day. Once registered, these courses are also available to you to as many times as you choose to take them.
